Harmonisation of Ergonomics certification systems around the world

CREE was one of the first certification bodies endorsed by the International Ergonomics Society to certify professional ergonomists. It is part of the current strategy of the IEA to promote certification and CREE is assisting in the IEA efforts to harmonise the standards of certificaiton across the world. Currently four organisations are endorsed by the IEA to certify ergonomists outside Europe. People certified by these organisations are considered as equivalent to the CREE certified European Ergonomists in terms of experience and education: Human Factors and Ergonomics Society of Australia (CPE), Japan Ergonomics Society (CPE), Board for Certification of New Zealand Ergonomists (CPM) and the USA Board for Certification of Professional Ergonomists (CPE, CHFP and CUXP) .
